    1st gen miata FPR

So i was surfing the interwebs and happened upon a gtx for sale. the owner had a list of things done and one thing was a miata first gen Fuel pressure regulator that he claimed bumped the pressure across the board by 5psi. anyone back that one up? seems like it would be minimal gains but cheap and maybe let you sleep alittle better at night knowing you have just a little more fuel going where it needs to be

This isn't a smart move at all. That extra 5psi increase in fuel pressure will increase fuel flow by about 5.6%. So, the vehicle will run rich throughout the load range. If it was running globally lean by that exact amount, this mod would be perfect. However, that's simply not the case.

Implementing this change will net you less power/torque, reduced fuel efficiency, and increased wear in the cylinders. -not smart at all.
