    323 GT-R Built

    Hello everyone,

This is my second GT-R and I plan of keeping it for a long time...this car will never be for sale, this car will die in my hands if it has too...

I will post pictures of when I first bought it. Then pictures of the work I will do...I think that's why its called a worklog hehe

I will try to change your ideas and let "crazydrummer69" do his thing...I know you will like what I will do to MY GT-R!

    I will put pic soon...

Can't wait to see one done right. I expect good things
I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county. Yes, twas' a much simpler time back then. Peasants would go about their postings, and I, the mod, would rule over them with an iron fist.

Now is the time for me to start my Worklog!

      A bit about the car...

I bought my GT-R in Montreal in August 1st 2008.

      Specs were:
Make and Model: 1993 JDM Mazda Familia 323 GTR
      Year: 1993
      Milage: 108348
      Horse Power: 210
Engine Size: 1.8 L BP Turbo GTR

      Description:

      - Engine: BP Turbo, DOHC 4 Cylinders 16 Valves
      - Transmission: Standard 5-speed full time 4WD
      - Differentiel LSD
      - Rear Wiper
      - Power Windows
      - Power Locks
      - Power Mirror And Power Folding
      - A/C
      - ABS Brakes
      - KYB Adjustable Suspension
      - Cusco Strut Mount
      - HKS CatBack 60mm
      - MOMO Steering Wheel
      - Tilt Steering Wheel
      - Boost Gauge
      - CD Changer
      - Ground Kit
      - Front And Rear Strut Tower Bar
      - 15in Aftermarket Wheels

So basically the car was all stock except for the wheels, suspension and exhaust.

I'm in love with this car, I like its rare color, I like how clean it is, the previous owner must of liked it as much as I do...

First things I've done to it when I bought it...

      - I changed the transmission/center diff and rear diff fluids...they were like new...but I couldn't tell by looking at it...
      - I changed the engine oil

Those 2 things are very important, its like a reset button...its were this car begins is life with you

      Now PICTURES!!!

To make this easier for you guys to understand, I owned two 323 GT-R for a little while....I bought my first one in July 2007 and I had done some small work in it...so before putting it up for sale I swapped all the goodies I had to the new GT-R...

        So I did as followed:

        - I changed the spark plug (BKR6EIX-11 #3764)
        - I changed the radiator (Aluminum Rad)
        - I changed the headlights/corners
        - I installed a better ground kit (HKS)
        - I swapped my powder coated valve cover and some others bits
        - I swapped my CD player
        - I swapped my 10mm Magnecor Wires
        - I swapped my Mazdaspeed oil cap and rad cap

I then installed a few others things

        - Front speakers, Infinity Kappa Series 5 1/4 with Tweeter and Crossovers
        - Rear speakers, Infinity Reference Series 5 1/4
        - Re-wired the whole car with home theater speaker wire, way better than stock
        - Painted the exhaust manifold heat shield

Here are some pictures of the car at that time....end of 2008

In the new year(2009) I just wanted to get it payed off and then start putting some money on it...It didn't last too long for me to get the addiction back...since my friend bought my old 1992 GT-R and started modding it...

          My plans for this year:

          Look at the brakes
Buy/Install stainless steel brake lines (Corksport)
Install a boost controller (Perrin) Done!
          Buy/Install a K&N air Filter
          Clean fog lights
          Repaint wipers, maybe powdercoated
          Buy/Install a better boost gauge
Powder coat front strut bar, same color as valve cover
          Buy/Install new battery Done!
Buy/Install new clutch (Bully Clutch Stage 3)
Buy/Install new vacuum hoses (Hose Techniques)
Repaint hatch moldings (paint pealed off)
          Repaint rear wiper arm
New Tires, (Yokohama S-Drive 195-50-15) Done!

In 2 weeks from now I will be installing most of the things showing on the list above, I have a week of from work. It will be a good time to change the clutch and do some cleaning in the engine bay while I'm at it.

I will post some pictures of before and after and some pictures of the work in progress.

My plan's are to do the following:

Powder coat the strut bar, maybe the intake manifold/Throttle body
Do a better install of my boost controller...Instead of getting the boost from the nipple of the turbo I will get a nipple welded near the throttle body on the intake piping.
Paint all the heat shields the same way, bright aluminum color
Replace all vacuum hoses for hose techniques bright red hoses
Change tranny oil, Red line lightweight shockproof oil
Install my new K&N Air filter with adapter
Install my stainless steel brake lines
              Install a new boost gauge
              Install new clutch
Probably put a new rear main seal while I'm at it...before it starts leaking

Take lots of pictures and show you guys all the work I will be doing to it!

Hope you guys will like what you'll see...

The paint is original, only a few GT-R's were made this color, I can give you the color code... its 4Z.
