    The Turbo LX Lives Again!

    Well basically this is the story of this car. I bought this shell around summer 2003. The car was a total mess, it had trash piled almost to the ceiling, it smelled like crap. It had a dual cam motor that was raped of every part except the cyl head and block. This shell was a LX but I had a red DX that was smashed up but on the whole left side ( I didnt do it my cousin crashed it) Well the DX had a DOHC motor swap and some deicient suspension upgrades. All that got swapped over to that LX shell and started the never ending story up upgrades. It eventually got turboed and dressed in jdm bodyparts and accessories. Then a few years later I came upon a 4wd then eventually gave up on the FWD and swapped everything to the 4wd chassis.

    So this shell sat in my moms back yard completely raped or everything for about 2 years. Then Mike (Pumer) ended up having to trash out his egt and looking for a clean shell to swap everything over to. So he ended up buying it and the car is getting its 3rd rebirth.

    I built the car for him and we replaced just about everything on the car except the suspension bushings. We added a EGT front bumper for a more sleeper look. Its eventually getting repainted.

    Heres the build parts list:

    Motor:
    Full rebuilt BP DOHC B6t, rods Miata 9:1 pistons, rebuilt n/a cyl head
    VF11 hybrid turbo, custom intake, corksport dp, 2.5" catback, Apex muffler
    Rebuilt G seris trans
    Stage 3 clutch
    GTX intake manifold
    GTX injectors
    GTX VAF
    BP-Performance fmic kit
    Greddy boost controller
    AEM wide band
    MSD ignition with boost retard, MSD coil
    2- 12" pusher fans

    Suspension/Brakes:
    KYB GR2 struts/ stock springs (just ordered sprint springs)
    drilled and slotted rotors F/R
    Hawk performance pads (front) stock pads (rear)
    16" BBS mesh on Toyo Proxies

    Soon to add
    Apex-i AFCII, 460 injectors and more boost. eventually t3 or t28.

          Theres a few things were soon going to fix and make more perminate. We were runnng out of $$ and needed to get it road worthy.

              Yea im over JDM bumpers there expensive. I like the EGT bumper, all it needs is a nice lip and it would look clean and stock looking. We scored this bumper on 50% off day at the junk yard for $15. We might put the Tracer rear bumper to match the body lines of the front bumper.

                    lol just seen this up shes alive and kicking with 606 miles on rebuilt motor and tranny etc shes running beatifull im very happy wiith her etc cant wait untill the break in period for the motor is over so i can see whut she has so far i havent tooken her past 3900 rpm and that was by axident getting used to the new clutch kit lol thanx turboproto a bunch bud will be seeing u soon wwither tonight or tomrrow

                        Its a Ford Escort GT bumper. It requires modding for fitment even for non turbo. But I had to do alot of trimming for the fmic so it fits with out rubbing.

                        And Pumer im glad your happy and we'll have to get together this Sunday cause Travis (stylingtwagon) is commin to the shop to let me use his car for testing a custom vaf pipe I made.

                              250 miles more untill she has 1000 miles on her then ill start takin the rpms up little by little will be shure to post some videos for every one
