    MS woes round-2

TPS calibration does not work. i get readings anywhere from 0-67 & sometimes it doens't even register. realtime display show crazy throttle percentages all over the board -%'s to 400+%'s

Megasquirt 2 extra 2.1.0p is whats flashed to the "controller & what .ini file i have.

i've reflashed it twice now & no improvement or change of any kind.
TPS is hooked up & does function.

Note, TPS feature did previously work fine on the 2.0.1 flash that was previously present.

i need help getting this POS working & my car back on the road.

If the re-flash does not work; I have a spare MS2, a Stim Board, and a "break-out" box. You're welcome to borrow any or all three.

no lex, the car isn't running. i can get it to fire off for a split second. but thats as far as i've gotten. the ECU thinking the TPS is wack all the time is a huge issue. when it did run for a split second, any throttle would force it to die instantly.

maybe disconnect the TPS for now? it's not required for anything except flood clear mode.

did you ever get your spark angle correct?

15 is much too small of a spark angle for our cars - I don't think the disty can turn that far.

In the 70s is a good start. You can be off as much as 20 degrees and it will fire.

Ryan, send me an e-mail with a datalog of you trying to start the car. Also, the TPS as mentioned doesn't have much to do with starting the car. Unplug it and deal with it after the car starts.

He's also trying that MS2 Extra crap... it's full of stupid bugs. Just go with MS2 no extra.

MS2 extra works like a charm and has plenty of additional options. Haven't had any issues with my install and I'm using Beta codes so you know...

When I tried it wouldn't accept any changes to my maps and a whole bunch of other things. I guess each MS responds differently to the code.

lex, i tried it first with 73.50° for the angle via from jon's msq file. & it did nothing but try & kick back & stop the starter dead.
the closest angles i've gotten that will free spin/crank the motor over are in the 13-17° range. i haven't gone back out with the timing light yet jon cause its been rainy forcast- still have no sunroof
