Is the motor in the mercury capri xr2 the same b6t as the 323 GTX? I'm asking because i've seen some one say they had some rods from a xr2 and they where not b6t rods. They said they were the same as the bp rod. I only ask because it is easier to find a xr2 in the jy to get rods than a gtx.

It's the same block... some of the xr2's came with the large nose crank... I'm not sure about the rods. I thought all the b6t's had the same rods.

all the B6T's from a BF chassis GT or GTX had the good B6T rods. the rods in the B6t XR2 capri came with the same rods as the EGT/323/Pro. sorry, gotta find a GTX or GT"See that car, in the 80's that car was deadly." Random man to his son while passing the GTX in a parking lot

i think the capri Xr2 was just a scraper car, seems like ford bought up all the leftover B6t's from mazda just like Kia bought up all the leftover BP's for the sophia"See that car, in the 80's that car was deadly." Random man to his son while passing the GTX in a parking lot
