    timing on a bpt

    Aight guys I need help on timing never done it before what pins do you bridge under the hood to time it and I was told to set it at 12 degrees so here is what I'm lookin at on the timing cover above the crank pulley it has a piece sticking out that has this on it |||10||||T| sorry guys best I could do but anyways where is 12 degrees?.......I'm probably with most things making this harder then it really is but I wanna get the timing right just so you guys know here's my set up vj20,cs downpipe,code b vaf,460 red tops,bp26 ecu,walbro 255 pump,and I do have a wideband from glowshift

      the T is for 0 degrees and each line is 2 degrees. so as caymen egt said go 1 line to the left of 10

          Late chime in....1st line above 10 is 12.

          Mainly chimed in to let you know that my boy bomdoutscort has to return his glow**** wideband. His along with a few others(he said this) have had to be returned.

            well set the timing decided to take it for a spin I was told to get it at full boost and see if the wideband was close to 12:1 so I hammered it a lil wasn't what I was expecting kinda felt like it was holding back look at the wideband it says 10:1 or 10:9 or something I let off and it starts missing and won't hardly run had a time gettin it back home haven't pulled the plugs or anything but my luck it blew up damn it!

                were you going into full boost with a cold engine? thats never a good idea

                lol you are running 460's untuned, thats why its running so rich. the gtx ecu is designed to run 360's.

                  well it set there and idled for awhile when I was playing with the timing so the engine wasn't completely cold and I guess I'm gonna have to get gtx injectors just wanted to get this thing running I probably blew it up

                    you probably just fouled the plugs

                    you could try using a SAFC to dial in for the larger injectors, turpro has a couple for sale right now

                          well either figure out how or... idk. you can try adjusting the vaf but thats a real ball-park way of tuning things.

                            Apex should have files on there site you can download on how to wire it up. My safc2 didn't have directions. Just the safc neo did.

                              so I'm guessing I would have to go by the familia wiring which would be zb5 or something like that and wire it from there and just play with it?
