    The Frankenprotege rallycar worklog

I wasn't gonna start this thread till all the parts were in and we actually started putting the car back together, but I might as well get something started on this project. The hub spacers, transmount plates, and adapter plate showed up yesterday, along with my purty, purty Eagle Hbeams. Pistons should be here soon and the engine built will start then, while we wait for the modded oilpan to show up. Meanwhile, I plan on having Pierce Motorsports make me a tubular rear subframe that accepts the ST205 rear diff. Time saved should be worth money spent there...there's also some small amount of bellhousing work to be done, for instance to locate the starter where Toyota never intended, among other things.

All the effort is to get the BPT to talk to the GT4 gearbox/shafts/ rear end, and thus reduce, with any luck, the number of mechanical DNF's. Many thanks to Daryl and others in NZ and Sweden and such for pioneering the conversion.

    Kick. Ass. Vigorously.

    That, my friend, is awesomeness!!

So, which side is the starter actually going to be on?

I'll shut up now, I don't want to clutter your worklog too much..
