    silverton's 91EGT buildup

I did some exterior mods when I first got it, the solar wing and then clear corners, I've put 4000 miles on it since I got it in... July I think it was. And it's still going strong, only two small mechanical problems that should be a cinch to fix. Oil leak behind the oil cooler, started after I changed the oil, but the leak stops once the motor has reached operating temp. So it cycles through the oil every week... week and a half, haha. And I think my slave cylinder is failing, if I hold the clutch pedal in, it's fine for about 20 seconds and then the clutch starts to slowly engage while my foot is still on the floor with the pedal. Anyway, on to pictures!

I hit the paint with claybar and really made it "pop". Can hardly see it in the pictures but it is smooth as glass!

Then I smoked out the orange reflector on the back along with the turn signals, I'm going to leave the red alone though, and I need to redo the center garnish.

I bought an intake from an old FEOA member along with clear corners. I _think_ the intake pipe is a weapon R, and I've since replaced the air filter with a blue Autozone special. The clear corners really clean up the front I think.

Then I bought a pacesetter, the old 4-2-1 design and ran open header for about two weeks, that was fun :D This is the only pic I have right now. But with the intake and the header it's really opened up! In this pic you can see how well my chassis is oiled from the leak behind the oil cooler.

And then yesterday I bought new tires. Got rid of the old 195/60 good year eagle rs-a's for 205/50 falken ziex ze-512's

    OLD:

    and NEW:

And next on the list is a new suspension setup from Jim Pierce from piercmotorsports. Bolt in coilover set with camber plates up front and pillowball mounts in the back.

holy **** that's a clean Escort GT!!! Car looks great!

About your oil leak, there's a good chance you may have left the old filters o-ring behind causing an improper seal...or possibly just a defective oil filter.

Intake definitely is Weapon R, is it the double walled version? (one pipe inside the other).

Sounds like its going to be a fun build, going to stay n/a?

I could probably just replace the filter again and double check that no gasket material was left behind, I didn't do the oil change, a buddy did.

Intake does not have another pipe in the middle which is why I wasn't sure if it was a WeaponR or not.

Boost is planned, but supporting mods are getting done first. And I'm keeping it small, 200-250whp is my goal.
