1990 Ford laser KLZE track hack

    Hello from Downunder (New Zealand)
got me a car finally so i can now continue on with the KL V6 Track hack build

Jap import 1990 ford laser S ,completed with automagic gearbox and DIY B6 DOCH upgrade (says BG5P on firewall) so it had a B5 at somestage? 346,000km on the body and prolly the rest of it based on the condition of everything!

ive already fitted the MX3 rear subframe, front to install shortly,

    V6 Block assembling

180,000km KL-ZE , engine has been stripped and put back together (nothing really wrong with it)
Heads have been ported, gasket matched, new steam seals
No overly worried about the block, the heads make all the power so no dramas if something in the block blows up, will be twin turbo KL-ZE styles when it does
V6 build not far off completion, need to put the cambelt on and its basically ready

Dirty drum brakes Gone, found some discs to convert to handbrake cable doesnt work from EC to BG ...so will need to hunt for a laser handbrake cable for discs brakes

Will do the normal 2 pot brake upgrade also once i get the V6 in there, slotted rotors , braided lines etc

Sits very low with Sedan trusts and Astina springs

fronts not as bad, but still low, cant get the jack under the car

Put the Astina seats in the car, front and rear, lower rears need some DIY to mount correctly.

located a front strut tower brace $10 for P-A-P

Dirty engine is DIRTY..Smells like dead oil mixed with bad petrol and some kero! ...but who cares..V6 is clean as inside

    Enjoy so far
