design tip: Use filters to add to a design, do not use filters to actually MAKE the design.

You can't get enough control over what you're doing with filters. If you're really interested in doing photoshop (or paint shop pro) stuff, I suggest buying a book about it. They're spendy but worth it in the end. There's so much stuff you won't figure out without hours and hours and hours of experimenting... not that that's bad, but it gets frustrating after a while.

And ask lots of questions... people are always willing to help out. We all started somewhere, and had to learn ourselves.
