Well I figured I'm going to change direction totally with midnight's shadow. Here's the old worklog just to reference what she was
Now she'll be going in a totally new direction.....klde. This will probably be boosted but right now she'll just be built right.
For starters next weekend I'll be picking up a 92 canadian mx3 v6 parts car. If anyone knows any diferences in the canadian or us mx3 v6s please let me know. I will warn you the parts are rusty. The whole subframe, brakes and suspension parts will be used...front and back. Once I strip the mx3 of all the wiring and crap it will get chopped up. There's no title and I'd have to go back 2 owners prior to get a title transfered(I do have the title but its a long story).
So all the parts will be pulled and cleaned. Then sanded and hit with por-15. All bushings and bolts will be replaced as well. This will not be an overnight deal. When I pull it out of the garage it will be like it came off the showroom floor.
I also got a hold of a klde with less than 100,000 miles on it. This will get a complete gasket set done. Also change out the manifold to a curved neck. Might actually slap some millenium heads and intake maniflod on.
So plans for Midnight's shadow are:
Rear-
Full mx3 brakes/suspension
Super-pro bushings or energy suspension.
Drilled rotors
Ss lines
Front-
Mx3 subframe
Mx3 drilled rotors
Ss lines
Mx3 steering rack(might keep the rack full power. Drove the car and liked the responce)
Driveline-
Klde
Mx3 trans
Mx3 axles
Mx3 crossmember
Mx3 engine harness and the harness to run the mx3 guage cluster and rad fan
Mx3 ecu and vaf
Mx3 mounts filled with window weld
Civic aluminum rad
Mx3 guage cluster
I might be missing some things so I'll update it. Future plans are to boost it but that won't be for a few years. Even this project will take at the minimum next summer to complete. Any comments or suggestions please feel free to post.
