    Sourcing GTR engines and parts?

I don't know how many of you have GTR parts on your cars, I know thereildeal has a GTR engine, and Jay you have full GTR engine and drivetrain under your car, and there's a handful of other people I've seen selling things like a GTR ecu and a GTR vaf. Where do you guys get this stuff?? It seems like sources are like a taboo thing to talk about on here, so I'd like to get it out in the open. It's like sex and teenagers, talk to them about it before they go and spend 6000 dollars on buying a canadian 323GTR and drive it illegally across the border just to strip it to the ground, robbing it of every nut and bolt imaginable so that I may have the ultimate Protege.

Er, something like that, but you get my point.

So what do you say, can you help a brutha out?

People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

Yeah, that's about it. Go hunting. It ain't every day you come across an ad for an awd protege that already has the full gtr conversion, that just ain't quite running right, and is being sold by someone who really needs cash for home repairs, for 35 Benjamins. just be aware that you will have to take a good personal look at a gtr engine to make sure it's not a bpt.

Some parts you can also score from Yahoo options in Japan.

hey im new here .. i recently got a GT-R engine and had it installed in a GT-X body. worked fine..had an accident and somehow the filter sucked in something and now the turbine wheel is bent. i dont know if any of you can help me but i either need a wheel, a core for the turbo, or at worst the same complete turbo.

                  thanks in advance

try posting a new thread in the WTB (wanted to buy) forum. it is unlikely that you will find someone with a VJ23 just "kicking around". i have a spare, but it is a spare for my car. it took me about 2 years to find one...

is there a way i can find the part for the turbo that i am looking for? im basically just looking for the wheel, but i was told that if i could get a hold of a cartridge it would be much better.

AFAIK, IHI no longer makes parts for these turbos

you could try IHI, see if they can get you an RHF6 compressor wheel but its unlikely. probably most blown turbos will have compressor wheel damage so thats out... idk man good luck

Swap it our for a gt28R or mabye GT30R. That's my plan, if and when mine dies. This is fitting with my idea to get the hell away from parts that are made of unobtanium.
