    ROUND 1 of The Great Audio Install: Speakers.

    Will a 6.5" fit? How do I make it fit? How deep is the speaker hole? What tools do I need?
    Here it is... a walkthrough guide to install 6.5" components and coaxials.

      Kicker IX-405D 5 Channel Amp
      Kicker 12" L5's in bandpass enclosure (2 of them)
      Kicker K-57.2 Components up front
      Kicker K-65 in back.

        Sounds sharper and cleaner than the factory speakers. But blah, got 2" of snow or I woulda started on the amps.

            yep, i've got a sticky thread for all the mazda 3 info in the audio section

            also, for those that don't have the tools and aren't inclined to make their own adapter plates, i charge $20 for a set do you think that 1/2" thick MDF will work? i know that 3rd gens can go up to 3/4", but then you get some clearance issues with some speakers. 5/8" is the highest i'd go with, but i stick to 1/2"
