Ok so yesterday I was starting on my intake mod when i removed the stock snorkel. Something that came to my attention and is a bit worrying if your after the optimum performance of the snorkel is that there is a rubber seal on the outer rim of the airbox connecter that connects to the snorkel. It basically seals the connection up not allowing any hot air to pass through or any air to escape through the joint. The rubber on my connection was almost completeley deteriated.
It may be an idea to take off your snorkel and check that your seal has not been deteriated either on the air box. Might just give a bit of better performance or at the least stop any hot air/rubbish from entering your airbox from the engine.
bonsai-out!
