Flipper--Mazda 323 restore/resell project

So I decided to grab my fifth 323 (currently own 3, this will be my fourth) and restore it for resale. I'm picking it up on Saturday, although I'm going to try and take it tonight. The owner is holding the car for me. Did I mention it'll only cost $100?

Here's the only picture the owner provided:

• New winter tires
• The body is in good condition

• Interior is ripped up
• Engine has ~300kKm and burns oil

• Strip the interior (minus the dash, unless necessary), vacuum up the crap
• Replace interior with mint interior at PaP, saw one there last night
• Replace engine
• Install basic sound system
• Patch minor dents & touch up paint as needed
• Install OEM mudflaps
• Install rear header trim
• Install tach instrument cluster & low fuel fuel pump assembly (if needed)
• Upgrade dome light assembly
• Shampoo the carpet (or replace if necessary)
• Sell the car!

So I bought the car tonight. There's no structural rust but enough surface rust to require a few hours of attention. It also needs a paint job, and the (base) interior is trashed. It was pitch black by the time I arrived so I only took pics with a flashlight of the attention spots. The seller is also throwing in a set of new winter tires for $50. I'll put those on the Ghostbusters and find a couple of winter tires for the front of the GT :D







I'll take some real pics tomorrow when I bring her home.
