    Spanish GT

Hi everybody, after looking for a long time I found this great site!!!!

I´m from Spain, and I bought a 323GT 2 weeks ago; it have some problems that I will repair gradually.

The engine is OK, it haven´t got problems and works well, my concern is that the car has rusted rear and have many holes.

For repair it I sanded the surface and I've redone with fiberglass, I know that it is not the better way of repair it...

    Here photos:

    Bye friends!!!!

Looks like my old hatch but without the wider side moldings. I like how you did the carpet.

My dad (He does bodywork on the side) says that you should cut out the rust and patch it instead of just doing the fiberglass, as it will start to rust again. (most likely within a year.) The fiberglass won't stick to the rust and metal, which will cause lots of moisture to get in between the two, which will cause it to rust faster than it did before!

yes, I understand that ... but by the time I tested with fiberglass, I have an outer and an inner and I have tar the car.

I have a question, (nothing to do about this subject); this car is July 1991 and was bought in CEE (not in Spain):

              The car:

              NO sunroof
              NO air conditioned
              NO electr window

And I have seen many cars here, older than mine that have sunroof, air condicioned, electr window...

              GT are not all equal?

Sounds right for a factory BP. Not sure why you don't have the power options...

Looks good, & thats coming from a guy who doesn't like red 323's

its likely the options just weren't selected when the car was purchased from the dealership.

Yeah, I think so too. The owner most likely wanted a bare bones performance model, so that it's lighter weight. I've seen the same thing with older american muscle cars. Maybe this guy had the same idea.

Less weight is good!!!But in the vehicle documents says "weight 1050kg" so I think that the weight is the same or the documents are wrong...

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
