So a couple of weeks ago I left my house for work, and didn't really let the car warm up the temp outside was a cool 25 degrees F. I drive from my house to the main road which is less then a 1/4 of a mile, pulled out onto the main road first... second... third.. got on it and ... boost cut. by the time my foot came off the throttle from the boost cut, the engine wasn't running, but the car was rolling and I was hearing a lot of rattling noises. Stuffed the clutch pedal in and hit the car and it fired up missing a cylinder and still making a lot of rattling noise. Drove it back to the house in which case smoke was poring out of the hood (no fire just burning oil that was all over everything) no time to really check it out, hopped into the other car and went to work. Within the next couple of days, I trailered the car to work and pulled the engine and tranny. When I took the tranny away from the engine the bell housing was full of oil and metal pieces. I didn't get a lot of pics and sorry the pics that I have are camera phone pics but here is the carnage after dis-assembly. I do have another block and crank and have already ordered pistons and rods, it is also a good thing that I work at a shop that has a full engine machine shop so I can get everything back together.
On with the pics.
