    5speed swap question. need help asap.

    Ok so im swappin my auto to 5speed in the mx3. and i was lookin at the sensors on the clutch pedal. and im wondering wat there r for? i was thinkin either netrul saftely switch to start the car and cruise control switch. im jus wondering wat they r for and do i have 2 conn2ect them or not for the car to start or w.e. any advice would help. thanks

    You are right they are neutral safty and cruise switches. The one on the front (small two wire round switch) is cruise one the other it the safty switch.

    When i swapped by brothers mx-3 GS auto to manual i ran the wires for the neutral safey switch out to the wires on the original switch for the auto. i cannot remember the colors right now i would go outside ans pull some tape off but its freezeing rain here right now. I will try and find the wireing diagram and post you the colors you need to run to.

    Sold and missed!

    2012 Volkswagon Jetta S 2.0 8v Custom Cold Air intake, Raceland Coilovers, BFI Torque Mount Insert, Audi S4 Wheels, low and slow.

      thanks, but i think im just gonna swap everythign into the escort for now until i can get more money to finish up the mx3. but still post the colors n watnot so anyone else can see.

        is that cruise control switch on the protege too?
        coz i lost cruise control after I switched from auto to manual.

          Most likely. did you switch the switches off the old peadel assembily? if not you could have a bad switch on the new pedals.
