    bp turbo'ds automatic lx worklog

    i just wanted another car but with automatic and loaded with p/w p/s a/c, cruise and sunroof so i m going to fix up my parts car since the motor runs so **** it i m going to get it rerun

    my goal is just a reliable automatic turbo daily car i m not going to drive hard in this one i just want have a boost sometime when i floor it

    so heres my list....... god dang its long list
    need to buy:
    struts and springs rolling on old setup til get new ones
    walbro 255 f/p $99.00 ebay.com
    rx7 vaf $157.21 drivewire.com
    intake duct $40 ebay
    control valve hose $25
    radiator and fan and hoses $150
    fuel rail and injectors $350 ???
    cluster, dashtrim $50 ???
    battery $80 napa
    cv shafts $125 napa
    tierods and balljoints $100 napa
    bumper support the metal, fiberglassed thing $200 ???
    slotted/drilled rotors and pads $121 ebay

    already have and needs to be installed and to be done
    cross member back in, dont have 1 need to buy... anyone??
    fill the motor mounts
    reinstall the p/s back in
    reinstall cruise back in
    replug all the plugs
    put the headlight and bumper back on
    radiator and fan need to buy
    suspension have but want better setup
    fuel tank but dirty

    you'll have to be mighty careful with boost at the atx transmission...my first recommendation is to service the fluid and filter and add an external trans cooler (bigger the better).

    If you beat on it and take advantage of Mazdas "hold" system, it should last quite a bit, I've managed to make my atx 626 a little more enjoyable...

    also what are you going to do for an ecu? source out an atx GTX ecu? You'll need an atx ecu to control your trans.

        soon as i could i m going to put fuel tank back in but i dont think i have strap for it but oh well if anyone has them for cheap id like to buy if u also have f/p too and negro rig the suspension with my old coilovers to get it rolled home

          5psi should be safe for an auto even keeping the exhaust and downpipe stock and running a stock gtx setup would be good

            u mean automatic, gtx ecu, rx7, vaf rx7 injectors, 14b turbo off a DSM, megasquirt and run 7 psi????? on highway

            EDIT:and stock exhaust??????

              i did the front coilovers so they can be rolled home (but not yet) still have to put rear back together (thats for tomorrow) today i also bolted the motor back on frame i forgot i threw the damn crossmember i guess thats all for today i m goin to put the rear coilovers back together tomorrow and clean the fuel tank to see if it would be clean enuf

                Rx7 460cc injectors would be good, but u could also use the gtx injectors, which r 330cc i believe, which would be good for u. and also u would need an rx7 vaf for better airflow, or could also use the gtx vaf if u can find one. a walboro 255 lph fuel pump will be ur best bet on that. and u should be able to use a stock fuel rail, since u wont be usuing much boost.

                    i have a gtx fuelrail u could use. i got it for my mx3 but im putting everything into the escort so i wont need it anymore.

                      your not goin to use a gtx ecu on auto wiring unless it has the 2 plug ecu harness with separate trans controls...

                        do i have to modify the injectors to fit? are the plugs on vaf exactly the same? do i have use same ecu as the vaf? if i get a gtx vaf, i have to get gtx ecu?

                              gtx injectors r PNP, and the VAF should be also, even the rx7 vaf is PNP. and u dnt have to have the gtx ecu for the VAF, u just have to tune the VAF so it will run right
