alloy or steel rim, i would look it up in my FSM but i have a USDM manual. i dont know if there were different options in wheels over in New Zealand

alloy i guess, i have a spare wheel that has a mazda logo on it, its white and looks kinda like the OZ rally rim that 808 has in his sig, repeat KINDA, i think maybe that was the stock alloy, wish i had another 3 since they are quite nice. they are 15x5.5 45 offset. i just need to know the stock specs so i can prove to my girlfriends father that my current rims are not illegal.

i guess i should also get conformation from some more experienced people here aswell. i am running Bridgestone Zonas (Watanabe lookalike) 13x5.5 +20 offset, they sit out a little further than stock, about flush with the fender. my girlfriends dad claims that running this wider setup is unsafe and 'any mag shop will say they don't like fitting wider rims'. a while ago when i had a Toyota mr2 i bought rims that cleared the struts by 3mm and called the local shop. they said if it fits without rubbing then its fine. is he doing that father in law thing and talking out of his ass because hes worried or is does he have substance to his claims? btw i know that running way too wide rims can wear out the bearings but ive never had this issue.

ok, i dont even know where to start with this....
-gf's father is talking out his ass
-run as wide as u want if they dont rub
-having a offset that puts the centerline of the tire farther from the hub will strain the bearings slightly more but wont do damage in your case.
              - you solved the mystery, the rim you have is not a stock wheel from a BF chassis 323, no model/trim level came with a 15 inch wheel. steelies were 13's alloy 14's

Yup its the stock alloy rims, the BFMP 323s and BFMRs had them coz they have bigger brakes. I had some at one stage but sold it a while ago :|

EDIT: if the rim sticks out from the side its not legal. +45 offset wont get even close to sticking out from the side lol they are legal. Pretty sure ur talking about the stock rims

45 offset is the stock rims. my Zonas are 20 offset and are CLOSE to the gaurds. i plan on lipping the guards because under the right condition of weight loading i can get some gaurd rub.
