    affordable adjustable bf strut?

I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me. i have a ford festiva and im looking to find an affordable adjustable strut that will bolt on to the festiva knuckle with little to no modifications. i know the mazda 323 bf will bolt on but the only adjsutable struts are the ksports and there a little pricey. are there any other optinons? KYB has the agx adjustable series im trying to find a car that may have the same bolt pattern as the festiva knuckle. i took some measurements so if you know of any cars that may be compatible please let me know. im trying to compile a list of fwd cars that may share the same flange. im going to check a few different car forums to see if people can measure theres and see if any are similar. thanks for any info or help!

Damkids car has(had?) Coilovers from a mk3 golf on it. Search for posts by b6t on ff.com for more info. He did it when he owned the car.

I think you just have to mod the top mount and it bolts right to the knuckle.

ok i researched that, and it seems as though the strut rod it self was to thick.

im going to ask chris what fred did to the sturt mount to make it fit. does anyone make custom struts???

You can get inserts and weld them into cut stock struts.

just imagine the insert as a strut that is shorter and doesnt have the brackets to attach to a spindle. so you cut your old strut pretty much in half and stick the insert in and weld in place. thats the simplest i can put it.
