    Oil Pressure Question

    Sup Fellas

I know somewhere in the archives section of 323performance.com lies my answer, but we all know the present fiasco going on . . .

What should be a good or decent cold start up, then warm idle oil pressure psi from a B6T ??

    Facts:
-Currently reads 52psi-cold start, then 19 to 21psi-warm idle (after driving around, boosting, thermostat has opened etc.)
-103k on original engine (and chasis)
-Motor has seen Mobil1 15w 50 for the latter half of its milage (I'm second owner)

Meh, it doesn't sound too much different from mine. How is the press sensor hooked up? Is it directly to the block? Or is it remotely mounted via a hose? I used Swagelok fittings, and had to crack them a bit to get the air out of the dog leg. The pressure readings were different after I bled the air out, obviously.

Yeah you're good to go. 50 cold 20 warm is spot on. If however you find yourself looking at warm single digits, you're spinning bearings.

I used a Golden Eagle oil sandwich adapter, not that weak ebay garbage. Gave me perfect fit & clearance for the oil filter, stock sending unit and an additional 1/8npt port for aftermarket autometer psi guage.
