I came up with an idea for me to get more bass without taking up any trunk space. I would only be able to use an 8" sub but it would be right beind the front seats. I drew up a picture in paint of the interior cut in half down the middle of the car.
The red part would be 13" tall, 10" wide, and 10" long and would have an 8" sub in it. Is that even possible or would it have to be more than 10x10 to have an 8" sub? The blue part could be part of the enclosure if I needed more airspace inside, but I would rather have it not be. My idea for that is to have cupholders on it and have it be somehow removable so I can still fold down the seats.
Its just an idea right now, and it would be a lot of hard work to do. But I think it would be worth it in the end. I actually got the idea when I was checking out the RX-8 since its center console goes from the front dash all the way to the rear. I would be the only one who had anything like it too.
So what does everybody think? If I even plan to attempt this I will first have to go listen to some 8s so I can see if they will put out enough bass for me.
