hello new to the site and kinda new to mazda.
so i picked up a 88 gt and it was in pretty bad shape once i get it home.
    new clutch(stage1)
    new tires
new shocks all the way around
    new shifter bushing( bronze-oil)
    new sway bar bushing
    refurbished radiator
    new water pump
    new thermostat
    and new axles.
but once i finally got it on the road safely it started to over heat so now im in the process of putting everthing back together after a slight mil, hot tanking, and slightly bigger valves(new head pretty much)
    but enough of that

im trying to get the boost up a little
ive already check the turbo there 0 shaft play in it.
but im new to turbos to say the least.
i dont have a clue on how or where to hook up a mbc and a BOV

ive been looking around for a imark rs front bumper and i finally found one and scooped it up. ( if you dont know what im talking about ask ive got a few pics on the comp)
and now i itching to hook up a fmic.
is there some way to find a write up on where to place everything?
or just find a local turbo dude and ask him?

The most easiest and cheapest way to turn the boost up is fit a bleed valve or manual boost controller. More expensive then you want to fit a electronic boost controller.
There is stories of that there is a learn spot around 11psi and it will lean out a bit risking damage to your engine, ive yet to find out myself the truth in that. Ive set mine at around 10-11psi until i can get my ecu remapped/chipped to handle more boost. 15-16psi which is all the standard turbo is capable off, start going higher then the gearbox becomes the week link.

Obviously if you want to fit a bleed valve then you also need a boost gauge as you will have no idea what sort of boost your running. These cars come with a cut out around 11psi as a safty feature, you will hear a buzzer and the fuel cut will kick in, this can easily be disconnected. There is a standard bov on the car, you can fit an aftermarket one but right now a bov will have no affect on the boost.

In this pic i have circled a bleed valve, its a simple fit. But thats the pipe you want to connect it to, same goes for a manual boost controller, there bassicly the same thing.

I though that's where it goes but wasn't too sure
I've heard of the fuel cut several times and where it comes in before
is it true that to get #'s over 230hp-250hp you pretty much have to do a bpt or a kl swap?

No 250 is probly when stuff will break. It's just easier to make more power with the bigger displacement. If you don't have or want to keep a/c a station/conquest intercooler makes a good front mount. Also look for a chipped ecu before you turn up the boost too much.

(the GF loves ac and loves wasting gas :/)

but ive got a imark rs bumper just sittin around that i want to fill out w/ a intercooler

          on the ecu note.
im at a cross road between rocket chip and RR for the 16-17 psi

I would push you towards Rocketchip. Reich has had.... a less than stellar track record recently.
