I made something similar in the intro thread, but figured I'd make a proper Worklog
Found on craigslist posted for 950. When I went to go look at it, they that it wouldn't start. The day prior they had jumped it and it started fine, but hooking a battery up to it did not work. I went to check it out anyway. They showed me the battery they had used and noted that the terminals were on opposite sides that the car needed. The girl said "weird, we had it hooked up earlier!". So I pop open the fuse box and the main fuse is blown. I had already looked over the car and liked what I saw, interior was clean, paint looked okay and only minor door dings. Nothing you wouldn't expect from an 18 year old car though. So I go to the junkyard, swipe a new main fuse and pick up a battery for it and she fired right up. After I got it started and took it around the block, I offered $700 and they took it, in the next month or two I soon realized I should have only offered 600.

Picture upon arriving home. It had 201,0XX miles. Assumed mileage as last carfax reports 164k
Next day in the daylight, it was on a donut but later that day I went to a used tire shop and found a perfect match, save tread depth and everything. mounted and balanced for about 40 bucks.
Here it is next to what was replaced, my beloved 1985 Toyota Celica-Supra. A money pit that I HAD to get rid of before I was $10k over my head. After getting the tire replaced.
Random shots:
Only major paint damage.
Came with the NGK wires and new'ish looking NGK plugs. Ran a compression test and it showed 180-200 across all four cylinders.
That night, I found that it had a fuel leak if the tank was over 3/4 full. Found that the crappy looking weld had broken, so I got a replacement from the junkyard and replaced the o-ring.

Solarwing install

Hit the car with claybar, came out looking amazing I think.

Car started to overheat on the freeway. Found that the fan sensor was broken, at first thought it was failed relays, another junkyard part. This is also when I saw two other EGT's in the parking lot of my favorite yard. The black one belongs to Joel (Escort92Man), who I met later on.
08/03/09
WeaponR intake pipe and filter (filter later replaced with a blue spectre to match the car better)
08/04/09
Nightshaded the orange reflector on the back, and here you can see the removed vanity plate that was originally on the car.

Clear corner install, had to rewire for the newer style plug, easy enough as all the wire colors were the same
08/12/09
Pacesetter install, had a friend fab up an extension pipe, but I ran open header for about two weeks, I loved it. Oil is from the oil cooler, it was leaking, soon remedied after this though.

New Rubber! Out with the old 195/60 Goodyear RS-A's and in with 205/50 Falken Ziex-512's

Ebay short shifter, I love it! Both shots are with it in neutral.
