FS or Rent---Piercemotorsports built Escort GT Roadrace Car

Thought I'd stick this here in case anyone is interested in getting into Motorsports and is looking for a rental/car to go to rookie school or what not...Racecars don't have to be expensive to have fun in!

This car started it's racing career running with SCCA in ITA, winning several races and setting a track record in the process. It then graduated to endurance racing and finished 4th in E2 with Nasa, finishing the 25 hours of Thunderhill. It's next season it took 2ND in Points in EO after a year of 3, 6, and 12 hour endurance events finishing every event in the top 5 except for one (faulty fuel pump). These last few years it took on a brand new driver who practiced, went to school and got his license, and then ran a half season of races even finishing on the podium a couple of times. Car has been perfect---it's very well developed and ready to win.

In the off season it got new axles, hubs/bearings, brake flush, oil change, trans fluid change, rotors, and had some bodywork straightened/painted. It's ready to go for 2010!!!

The car has a bpt which makes 158WHP at 4.5lbs of boost, a KIA trans, Ksport suspension, Brembo rotors, Hawk Pads, stainless brake lines, urethane bushings, front mount intercooler, 8 Kosei wheels, 8 Hoosiers, 6 TOYO RA1's, spare rotors, pads, alt, control arms, coil, wires, fuelrails, (basically enough spares to replace everything on the engine) has a Recaro SPG seat, 6 Point harness's, fire extinguisher, spare fuel pumps, short throw shifter, modified pedals, flatbottom, rear diffuser, front diffuser/undertray, 4 point tiebar/brace, brake ducts/ramps, custom dash, Momo Wheel---tons more stuff I'm probably forgetting...

This car would probably cost $20k to duplicate and he's selling it with everything for $4500obo!!!!!!!!!

Pictures of the car can be found at http://www.piercemotorsports.com/
under the roadrace section---PTE Escort (car is currently in PTC OR B, or US Touring car).

More photo's can be found on the boards---thanks for looking!

People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

All race cars are for sale, for the right price!! ;-)

This is a fantastic road racing Escort. I've had the honor to work on it, crew for it at several events and test drive it for about an hour @ Willow Springs, while putting run time on it before an endurance race. It's a perfect entry level race car that would take someone a long way into a career.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

The owner and I are going to build the blue Volvo S60 to run in World Challenge, Grand-am (the ST category), and mostly do the NASA Wercs endurance series. We're building it to the new Touring Class World Challenge rules...

The white escort isn't close to street legal, and while it would probably make it to New York and back a couple of times, the driver would probably run out of Advil and most certainly be arrested!

So it doesn't have turn signals, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, or license plate light?

I drove my white car back from San Diego, and the suspension on that is as stiffer, if not stiffer since it has no adjustable dampening, then the escort. Only had to stop every 1-2 hours (max), but not bad.

I guess it's kinda legal---it has HID headlights, brakelights, I think it could have turn signals, but no license plate or converter...It would need a TON of stuff to be a daily driver---like another car sitting next to it and then swapping everything...Oh and removing the nascar doorbars so you could put a real door on it...

not too worried about being fully street legal, but thinking as far as trying to drive it back somewhere. it almost looks like it will have to be put on a trailer to take everywhere.

That would be what you do with a race car. It would probably rattle your teeth out driving it on the street.

Speaking of rattling your teeth out, I drove my rally car from the Twin Cities to Wichita after I bought it. It took us to Kansas City to realize that we shouldn't top off the fuel cell otherwise it sloshed gas all over the back of the car. Plus the broken trailing arm that I found after we made it to Wichita.

If I didn't need to buy a new truck, Jim, I'd be half tempted to buy this car.

Well, the owner and I have partnered up on a Volvo S60 to race in World Challenge (new touring car class) and told me to "off" the escort. I'm telling you guys because someone could get a HELL of a deal on this car right now. It's already 30 cents on the dollar---but he wants it gone/closure. It comes with a pretty good spares package...PM me your offers---anything reasonable will probably get it---I'm not kidding---anything reasonable!
