    previous owners + 7k rpms = boom

This happened 2 years ago when I got my 323 hatch.

When I got it it seemed to be really down on power. Checked the compression and every cylinder had less than 90psi. I think it was the previous owners running 15 psi on a stock ecu and a n/a distributor.
Well I had to keep driving it as I was doing the b6t swap in my festy at the time. So one night I was heading back to school in PA. It was 11 at night and was annoyed because I had already had to turn around go back for stuff I forgot twice. So I decided to vent alittle. When I pulled out onto the highway I ran it up to 7k in second and then in 3rd it didn't pull as hard but I kept going. I let off around 110 and started to let it coast down. Then I see red and blue lights is the mirror. So I pull over and get a ticket for 107mph in a 55. Well when I started it up to pull away it had a horrible rod knock. So I had managed to get what ended up being a $600 ticket and blow my motor at the same time. I drove it home and took my dads truck to school that week. Swapped in a b6d long block the next weekend. Now pics of the carnage.

Ended up having 2 spun bearings and cracked rings on 2 cylinders.

wow, thats like a **** salad. ****ty with a little **** on the side and a sprinkling of **** ontop. Makes me feel better about my life, thank you ha ha.

I am amazed you didnt have a "speeding is bad mmkay" in your post, I would imagine after that ticket ANYONE would have learned that lesson.

BTW you are very lucky, oregon has adopted a law where 100+ mph on the radar is an instant 1k dollar fine and a trip to jail iirc, meaning there will also be tow and possibly storage fees to get your car back.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

here anything more than 20 over and they can arrest you for reckless driving, tow the car, etc. yes - for going 85 mph on the highway you could theoretically go to jail.

Yeah he could have arrested me there but it think he was at the end of his shift and didn't want to deal with it. That's my only ticket that actually says speeding on it. As long as you keep it within 15 over they won't bother you around here. It's funny though we've figured out that the crown vic my cousin got assigned was the same one that pulled me over.

I've never been pulled over for anything legit other than when I had a tail light out. everything else was bogus cops trying to catch vandals, drunk drivers, and some info on where a person lived (which I played dumb and didn't tell him).

I also rarely go more than 5 over the speed limit, even on the thruway. too many deer round here.
