    Odyssey Batteries

    blue LEDz,

As our resident audio and electronics expert, I was wondering what you thought of Odyssey batteries? I just discovered them at:
High performance Odyssey batteries for automotive, motorcycle, ATV, watercraft and marine use

They claim to be dry cell batteries but, in fact they mean that the electrolyte is contained in what they call an absorbed glass mat cell so that it can never spill out even if the case is cut apart. They claim, of course, to be much better than conventional lead acid batteries but you're in a better position to judge that than I am. Interestingly, their site has a photo of 2 of their PC1200 MJT batteries mounted in a P5.

hmmmm, they look suspiciously like stinger batteries

in fact i can pretty much guarantee that they are exactly the same, except the posts and stickers there are only a few places that actually make batteries. and conveniently my buddy can get the stinger batteries without the gold posts and stickers for quite a bit less than list price, and still a bit cheaper than sounddomain.

compare odyssey's prices to sounddomains for stinger batteries. which ever is cheaper, get that one
