    Previous setup (spun a bearing)


    '90 Protege LX BP DOHC and Trans.

    modified 323 GT halfshaft and stock 323 gt axles

    50/50 feramic clutch stock protege pressure plate (local shop makes it for about 75 bucks and it help up great on this setup)

    28x12x3 intercooler

    sink trap style manifold

    t3 super 60 trim off thunderturd turbocoupe

    38 mm external wastegate

    supra 440's

    RX7 VAF

    Super AFC 1

    4 wire tps for use with afc, and a custom full throttle switch for the stock ecu to read also.

    walbro 255 lph fuel pump

    hks style BOV..

    NA ECU and 6-7 degrees base timing running on 91 pump gas (4800 ft above sea level so 91 is premium here lol)

    the car was never dynoed but i would estimate on 11 psi it was making somewhere around 210 -220 whp..

    ..so here is a pic i took about a week ago.. its been sitting a while being a bit neglected so dont judge




    ok so im shooting for my new setup to be...


    megasquirt

    550cc injectors

    clutchnet 3 puck clutch and heavy pressure plate

    turbo, im thinkin an ebay 35r.. not sure yet

    ported head

    1mm oversize SS valves

    eagle rods/ wiseco pistons



    here are some pics of the headwork i have done so far... this is the first port job i have ever done so let me know what you think..

    here are the piston/rods i was going to use but are now in the for sale section lol..

    its stock rods (shotpeened) and miata 9.5 :1 pistons

    Makes me miss my BPT Festiva bad! Nice build! I'd love to see what that manifold looks like to put your turbo off to the side.

          its the stock NA cast manifold with an up-pipe and a built in flex section to mount it over to the side like that..

              My setup is pretty similar, I am hoping to have it all back together and ready for May 7th to drive down to Carlisle, PA for the big car show. Good luck on your build. If I keep the car past this summer I plan on building the bottom end up.
