You got an aftermarket boost control solenoid hiding in there someplace?
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Well there's nothing there now, they aren't hooked up to anything. I'm in the middle of doing a swap. In the manual it talks about a wastegate solenoid valve. Is this what the vacuum lines should go to? Whats the purpose of this solenoid? can i install an aftermarket one to replace what i'm missing?

Boost control solenoid controls boost. Like, with a solenoid That's what the lines go to, and yes you can put an aftermarket one there!

So there's three vacuum lines that go to the waste gate solenoid. One to the turbo housing, one to the waste gate and the other to the intake manifold? I understand on the GTR and GTX engines that this solenoid is operated by the ECU. So i was looking at AEM tru boost gauge which comes with the solenoid and a boost gauge which allows you to control how much boost you are running by adjusting it on the gauge which changes the duty cycle the solenoid is open.

So my question is would this AEM tru boost gauge work in this setup seeing the ECU is telling the solenoid when to open and shut?
