    Looking for an AWD Protege

Hey guys---have a customer looking for an AWD protege---preferably already built, ideally with turbo, clean, reliable, not quite a daily driver, but maybe could be---just something that's done/modded or nearly done...PM me if your even thinking about selling your car---anywhere in the country is fine, he has a decent budget---Thanks!!

Thanks---I'll shoot him a PM, did you know if he was trying to sell it/thinking about it??? I guess it doesn't hurt to ask...I found a stock one in decent shape, but by the time I build it for the customer it'll be probably twice what he could by a built/developed one for...always cheaper to buy something already done...I think I'm talking myself out of a decent job/build!!!

I wonder what I'd hafta spend to get similar performance in something else.. I'd have to find like a salvage title evo and hop it up some. Bet I'd be looking at 10-15k at best.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I drove an eclipse the other day (I'm only 5'9 and yes my head was about touching the cage/padding) and for a $6k dollar car I was impressed---I bet I could have overalled a few local clubrallies in it---pretty darn quick/good bang for the buck...

Actually I'm sure the guy that built it had more than $6k in it---that's just what he bought it for---there goes that idea...

You could probably get a nice start with a semi-ratty Celica AllTrac.

Bonus points for drivetrains not made of cardboard.

I tried to sell him on that super clean GTR in the FS section---I'd even head up to Canadia and drive it back, but he want's 4 doors...

Jim- I'll talk to a buddy of mine and see if he wants to sell his car straight up. It's not the cleanest shell and it has a little wiring problem, but the car ****ing MOVES.

Thanks---as long as it's reasonably clean and all there sounds good.

Thank you---we talked a bit about it (great car/cool project) and ended up finding a car locally here. Thanks for the help/heads up. I'll hopefully start the build next month and post up some pics.
