I am considering megasquirting my car and I was wanting to know if I need a oxygen sensor for the car to run properly. I do have a wideband installed.

As long as you have your wideband that is connected in with your MS, then you will be fine. What kind of wideband do you have?Create your own VB Gallery here.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

ya i ditched my narrow band when i went to ms, i just popped it into the stock location and ran the wire to the ms unit... but ya what wideband are you using, theres a few on the list, but you probably still should set it up for afr not volts, but its really simple....92 protege lx-

If you read the manual that came with the lc-1, assuming that you have one of those but it's a general rule for all of them, you want to position the wideband sensor anywhere from 12-18 inches down stream from the turbo.Create your own VB Gallery here.

aem has a different idea, i just put mine in the cs downpipe where they have them ran...
from aem:
Mount the O2 sensor in the exhaust system at least 18 inches downstream from the exhaust port. If you anticipate high EGT's (over 800C), run a turbocharger, run at high RPM for extended periods of time or plan on running leaded race fuel then you must mount the sensor at least 36 inches or more downstream of the exhaust port as all of these can cause the sensor to overheat.
i had the sensor back about a foot and a half before i was on ms. i had the stock o2 in the stock location and the wideband near the flex pipe, and it seems to get about the same readings so far. i still need an egt gauge to see what kind of heat is coming out tho...92 protege lx-

If 800F, then yes, I see above that a lot, especially when on the freeway and doing longer pulls. It needs to be moved further away from the turbo. I have mine lower down in my downpipe. About 24 or so inches from the turbo with my EGT probe right in front of it.Create your own VB Gallery here.
