    Street-Touring ZX2 video

Here is my BG Protege chassis ZX2 in action...

Still have some underdamping--you can see the car bounce around a bit in the videos.

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wre-iHI0NtM

My co-driver/owner, Craig is #27. I'm number 6. There are three runs in the video--Craig and then me twice. My best run was not captured, but the last run shown was a 55.9 with a cone--my run following was a 55.7 clean.

We're certainly getting closer to the Civics--a 'fat' second back now.

Sharp looking car, love the wheel fitment! Looks like you're on Dunlops
    You look aggressive enough.
What are you using for dampers/ springs?

215/40-17 Star Specs on 7.5" wide Koseis

Springs are 650F/550R on GC sleeves; dampers are worked-over Koni Yellows--begn life as "Red" MX3 inserts. The rears need another revalve job--they are maxed and it still is a little unsettled in the rear.

We have some 12.8# 15x7 RPF1 knock-offs that are getting some 205/50-15 Dunlops. That will lower the gearing a bit (23-23.7" diameter) and will shed about 5-7# per corner. Should liven things up a little bit...get us on cam more quickly.

Last week we finished about 1.7 seconds off of the '89 Si that was 2nd at Nationals last year, and were about 1.3 seonds off of the Si that was 3rd in 2007. So--goin back over the last few events, we have been consistantly 2 seconds or less off of the top-dogs in SpecCivic (all on 60-ish second courses). Last week, I did not feel like I nailed my fast run either, and as I said before, the car is not quite 'right' yet. When we get to the point where we can concentrate on the course and on driving better instead of what the car needs to feel right, I think we'll be in pretty good shape. Should be on par with the second-tier SpecCivics Nationally...and at least get the attention of the Top-Tier guys from time to time.

I think I'd be in EP with my corolla. Possibly SM. I remember that red civic (Pat Washburn) last year, at the end-of-the-year MSCC event at Miller Park. I was about 2 seconds off of him, running the car with all sorts of messedupedness. (alignment was off, tires were too tall, suspension was nearly shot, all of the excuses...)
