    power steering question

    I race mini stocks and have a 1993 protege lx, i was woundering if i could take the power steering pump off and loop the 2 lines, does anyone know if this will work? thanks

    also since i dont have a/c could just the one belt be fine?

      yes and yes, removing all fluid from the PS system also makes it easier to turn when not powered

          Yeah.. the previous owner tried to catch my car on fire when the power steering line blew at a rally-x. Cut the belt and it's never been fixed... I'm running without fluid or a belt.
