    a couple of 323 gtx q's

    hi
I just bought an 89 gtx and was wondering how hard it is to swap in the bpt trans and center diff? if you do this can you still use the rear diff? also how much power can you put through the stock driveline without any major issues? (respectfully driven of course. no clutch drops)

and info would be awesome and i look forward to spending time on the forum and getting the most out of my GTX!
    thanks

As far as I know, the BP GTX trans will go in no problems.... And the rear diff will be fine.

I think roughly 250-275 awhp should be okay as long as you're not planning to go rip Evos off the line with a 5 grand clutch dump.

Trailrider098 and 808 would be a couple of the guys with all the GTX knowledge

the AWD BPT tranny will bolt up to the B6T. there are a few holes on the oilpan to bellhousing that wont line up but people on the old mazda323performace site were pushing some power like this without problems. driveshaft will bolt right up and rear diff is fine. u will need to make hybrid front axles up though

New shifter cables too.Is your tranny pooched? The b6t tranny is not terrible if yours is still in good working order.

my tranny in still good it was replaced a couple years back with a "low mi" jdm trans from a bf gtx. My end goal for the car is 200-250 whp and if the drivetrain wont hold up id rather fix that before adding the power. anyone know what the stock turbo will handle as far as power and boost? the car has a corksport ecu good for 20psi and a 255 lph pump.
          thanks again

stock turbo wont produce to much more power after 15 -16 lbs of boost, it just dies out and pushes hot air. At that level you should be around 180 whp iirc.

Pushing 250WHP isn't the problem; launching and shifting are.
