    Getting flashed lately??

When im driving on non-lightned road, people coming in other side usualy flash me (light). So i was thinking im crazy they dont really flash me, but yesterday when comming back for my ski ride with a friend, i got flashed about 5 times (total car cross = 20 max) and he was like: wtf do they want to you? Could it be my light that are set so the beam go direct in people eyes, or they are just nice light that freak people ass? Btw my car is a '03 LX with stock light...

Hope you understand what i mean

Ive cheked upon getting home and no light are burn or flashing or anything...make me wonder how people will react with osram silverstar

I am pretty sure nothing is wrong. The factory Mazda lights are just that bright.

When I first looked at this thread I got excited because I thougth you meant the different kind of getting "flashed" but then when I read I realized you were talking about the headlights

ahhahaha sorry for the confusion...see what it does when a french try to self translate his mind ?

btw i've got flashed that way some times ago...but nothing to do with the car, just my pretty face and my friend teasing the girls

edit: oh and btw, what is the right term for the flash i meant? (headlight)

I've notice at a certain angle the Protege headlight seem to blind people. I get flashed all the time but with the Silvania's in and now with my PIAAs

I still have the stock bulbs in my car and everytime I'm on a two way road, I get flashed. I do have hyper whites in my high beams so I flash them back, then they usually flick me off.

The 01-03 has a shield that cuts off the low beams in a distinct line about 100 feet down the road... if you hit a bump and the light goes up into someone's face, it's extremely bright and looks like you just flashed them.

I dont know if its in the same in the US but in Australia, when oncoming traffic flick/flash their floodlights or lights it means taht further up the road there's a cop with a radar or rbt (random breath testing).

yeah they do that a lot here as well. well used to, not so much anymore. i wont warn others of breath tests, because i dont think drunk people should drive. i will do it if there is generally anything around to watch out for, a wreck, an animal, or somet hing of that nature.

Basically it just means pay attention to something... maybe your lights are off, maybe there's a cop or an accident, maybe there's a chunk of your car dragging on the road.

It happens to me all the time....our stock lights are just that much brighter than most.......when someone flashes me thinking that they want me to turn my "brights" off....I show them that my brights were NOT on... :{D then dim them again.....they get over it real fast.

The 3rd gen Protege/P5 headlights are the brightest non-HID lights on any current production vehicle and are even brighter than the 2002-03 Audi's. The lights project outwards to 600 feet according to a Consumer Report article from last fall.
