I am going to be tuning my car soon and would like to know at what point should the a/f ratios get rich. I am planning on going to 11.5 a/f but when I am running say 3lbs of boost going towards 18lbs should I be running 13.1 a/f or so and gradually get richer the more boost that I am running. This will be my first time tuning a car and I want to do it right.

Sounds about right. My fuel curves have never been that accurate though and I haven't blown it up yet, I just sorta aimed for 11-12:1 pretty much..maybe the newer ECU's are easier to tune? Start out rich across the board and *gradually* lean it out. You wanna start running rich by 6-8psi. Once you get that dialed in, work on timing...Last edited by jay; 07-03-2010, 07:03 AM.'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and

I shoot for 11.3 in boost, as far as acceleration enrichment goes, I see 12.5 by 0psi and 11.8 by 5psi and 11.3 by 12psi. This is compensating for the recent summer heat 90+ degree days. (havent re-tuned for cooler air now). Now with cooler IATs in the 50s-60s I shoot for 11.8s at 12 psi.94 1.8/Garrett 12psi/MS1/AEM UEGO/RX-7 460s
Still not 230+whp...
