    1993 Festiva L Rebuild.

Thought I'd start a thread showing the rebuild of this car, here is what it looked like last year when I was driving it: http://www.wihandyman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45049

    Fast forward to now:
I'm completely rebuilding the car this time, going all out. It is going to take a while to completely finish it, but it will be really nice when done.

So far I've stripped the engine bay, sanded and primed it.. here's the pics

I shaved the brackets that won't be used off the core support, the car is going to get a engine swap, probably a B8 or BP.

nice, car looks real clean! not sure how it looked before...but rust free seems to be the story here haha.

i'd recommend going BP, then you can eventually boost it if the power isn't enough for you. Lots of people drop them in.

any ideas what color you're going? White would look nice IMO.

Thanks, it has a little rust, but nothing structural.

I will probably go with a BP and then turbo it later on.

Not sure on the color yet, I was thinking maybe Orange or "Highland Green" like the Bullitt Mustangs, I do like white too.

I should have the bay painted sometime next week, it's going to look really good the color I'm going to paint it.

Painted the underside of the passenger engine mount bracket then installed it, and gave the bay a 2nd coat.

Next I'll start working on repainting all the underhood brackets and everything, then start reassembly of the bay.

Nice. I like when people go all out. But I've seen all too many where people start and never finish. Hopefully you bp your festy successfully.

Thanks, I'll finish it, just don't know when that will be. Probably not anytime soon, school is starting for me soon, and my money will go towards paying rent and stuff.

The wheels for this car.. Enkei VX's

Here's some pics showing my wheels for the car that I redid. Shaved the Honda lettering, Enkei symbol, and 13x5 stamping off the face of the wheel. Then glassbeaded them, polished the lip, and painted them as you see here, huge improvement over what they once were..
