    coolant hose routing for 1.8 DOHC swap

    okay so I'm doing the 1.8 BP swap in the MX as you may know, but I'm stuck on a few things:

    1. The pipe that runs to the water pump (snakes around the headers)... the larger of the pipes.. that comes from the heater hose return right?

    2. Where does the heater hose inlet connect to?

    3. There are also 2 lines I do not know how to hook up. 1 is coming off the throttle body (it's the larger hose comimg off the idle air controller, and the other is coming off lthe coolant "block" (underneath the coolant thermosensor that looks to be the same size as the one coming off the IAC).

    Just need to know these before I start filling it up with coolant! Thanks everyone!!

      are you running OEM hoses? if so then it's just plug and play, only one way to run them

        Yes I am running stock hoses. Here is my problem, though:

        1. In that pic, where it shows the inlet for the heater hose, I do not see that.

        2. The hose next to the heater hose is not there either (the one that I was also asking about coming off the coolant block.. I see that it goes back there but don't have that spot.

          Are you running the stock oil cooler? Head from a Miata?

            Yes I am. However, I think the engine came from a JDM n/a car...

            So yeah.. it's making things rather confusing...

                you dont have an oil cooler on that engine.so just route the hoses bypassing that.

                  Yup, no oil cooler. Now take a pic of the side of the head under the water thermoswitch.
