Swapping BG hubs/knuckles to a BF GTX?

Ok so I did a bit of a search and found that the 4wd front hub/knuckels will swap over to the BF chassis, but couldn't get a straight answer about the rears?
What all would I need from a 4wd BG to swap into my BF GTX?

BTW, I'm thinking about swapping a BPT and BG GTX trans into my BF chassis.

    Thanks
    Joe

It works but you do need to use different suspening. I have BG struts front and back and BG awd hubs/knuckles front and back.

Just the hub/knuckles are all I need for the rear? I'm aware I'll need different suspension, thats fine.

different brake disks... bearings of course. all sorts of stuff for the front.. i'm not sure what you need for the rear really. The swap was done when I bought the car.

you may need axles too.. spline count is probably not the same.

u will need to Hybrid your axles, use your stock BF axles and put on the correct BG chassis outer CV joints that match the BG knuckles. you will also need BG chassis calipers, rotors, struts, springs, and brake hoses. Modify your BF upper hats to sit on the BG suspension, get a good alignment and then your good

Sic! I have a BG complete rear subframe at my disposal so it should make everything pretty straight forward.

I'm not shure about the 4wd but I tried to bolt a egt rear into my hatch and it doesn't fit without cutting and drilling. Also 03 kia Rio front hubs and brakes bolt into a Bf no swapping axles. Iirc the rotor diameters are the same as a egt but the pads are bigger.

                    Hahaha still have it!!

Probably going to sell off the B6T that I freshly rebuilt and the completely rebuilt trans too.

                    Know anyone interested?

Is the rear hub assembly different between fwd and 4wd protégés? This would make my bpt swap a little easier.

Yes the rear hub is different. One has an axle going through it.. the other doesn't. Of course this is not totally needed for a BPT swap. But you have better bearing/brake/wheel options.

I'm curious to know why the one would do all this suspension hybridization to fit the BG transmission. Why not just use the existing GTX parts? The Galant brake conversion is all the "stop" our cars need. If we want a 4x100 bolt pattern we can simply use Kia Aspire hubs that fit the BFMR knuckles. Am I forgetting something?

Why use BFMR knuckels with those weak little bearings when u can just bolt on all BG gear and be done. much easier then Hybriding yet another part on our car.

Under what circumstances do "those weak little bearings" cause trouble? I've not experienced any. So, I probably under-appreciate the advantage that the BG stuff offers. To answer your question, though, the "why" for me is that I don't have to buy all new struts or brakes that I've already invested in.

                              (more thinking)
The Escort front brakes used in the Galant rotor conversion actually come from a BG chassis, yes? So, they'd bolt onto the BG knuckles, correct? How about the Miata rear calipers (or the custom carriers to which they're bolted)?
