i had posted twice earlier... ffs.. lol once at 10 then it didnt go thru and thought it did at 12.. blah ah ah..
i did a bunch of yard work and shrub tree removal today so i didnt get to go check it out.. but i called him at 10 and it has 137k

paint clear coat is coming up on the roof area he says.. im thinking headlamp buffer crystal cream, delecate swirls after i get the clunk clear off.. and try to rattle can krylon clear blend it.. might consider doing the whole car w/ clear if it looks good.. you'll be surprised how well it can cover up dullness and pop the paint back out... or blend away scratches just by cleaning it real well.. nice buff to it and have at it w/ clear (wish i had my air tools .. they're in nc)

also the stitching is slightly coming apart in teh driver's side shoulder area where you get out.. slight discoloration of leather.. i still ahve a two step two bottle meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner that i havent got to use on a fam members 98 crown vic
figuring i can blend the color back in the leather and match the stitching the best i can.. learn upolstery.. hand do it w/ a rounded hook w/out barb and just a point .. u know

overall i was going to go and see it after this guy did at 2 this afternoon, but he just looked at it and left.. i was going to show up at 4-5ish.. but yard work owned me after hauling etc ... a bit.. plus stayed up all night last night

ok so update

went to check it out.. lots of little problems and a major

seems to be leaking mercron.. lol i went and test drove it around the block and the atx was shifting hard clunking sortof into gear.. just hard shift no 'clunk'
so after we get back i pop the hood while it's running.. somewhat of sewing machine effect from the HLAs.. this normal for 135k on kl(seems like it needs some auto trans fluid in the motor before engine oil change to clean em up)
also it sounded like one or two of the fuel injectors were really tapping.. hope some lucas or seafoam would fix that..

well i checked the fluid and yes the dipstick for the atx.. rofl you couldnt even pick up the level fluid while idling

so i look under at the atx pan.. greesy as hell.. i just think it could be bad trans gasket
put a quart of mercron in it for him before i left.. his adv ap shi
plastic freeze plug no the front head for the intake cam was lose and it had gunked up some oil around there
also the abs light.. he says that the abs was unhooked at the axles and brakes run fine... i dont know if they are used in the ecu in any way.. mind you i didnt get the car over 40mph with the way it was shifting


also the side molding by the drivers rear tire popped off a good 4x5inch section :\ also looked as tho he had glued it previously

back pleather seats were mint.. the front had typical rub damage and some of the hideaway threading had come off from both seats
vent was broke but that's easy jy fix

sunroof didnt operate (motors froze?) so he clear silicon sealed the outside of it 4 years ago inside headliner has that dryrot scrapeness/cuts to it on the window

also this paint did look more like a viper blue metalic cheap flake color
the car was repainted from the stock silver
it had a rear colision i noticed it.. they repaired it but the taillights leave a gap closest to the passenger side wheel well of about 1/4"
and the bumper could be pushed in in that passenger corner and it would line up more (seems to be off by a half inch) he bought a toyota yaris 35+mpg

well that's about it... i told him i would give him 850 cash for it

yeah the sunroof has rust issues too.. is this a hard fix if i can just repair it with a jy 626/probe setup and get the motor? most the time locked up solenoid from moisture in the motor?

otherwise.. the undercarriage was flawless... perfecdt lower rad support.. exhaust looked brand fricking new.. no rust issues in teh wheel wells.. etc etc etc.. brand new radiator

think i might be able to get it frmo him for cheap due to these things... if i would make this a cool car i would definitely get hte seats reupolstered
tilt column was fun lowered .. dont have one on my bg
but off the line my mtx spi in the 2nd gen is funner.. although i didnt floor it

rough idle when first started up, my guess carbon in iac or downstream from there, possibly valves too since it seems this car hasnt really been ran

oh and i hope that atx issue is really just the pan gasket, because most the shops that do the tuneups dont gob down the atv .. just a good bead around the flush surface to hold for a year until the next service... seems as tho he hasn't had that done in 3-4 years
hope me adding the mercron doesnt help sell it from me lol

oh and the window rubber seams are dryrot.. i saw someone at turbobricks.com fix up their volvo's with a rattlecan rubber compound after they taped it off of course... they looked brand frickn new.. i guess he leveled them before he started.. otherwise you'd get that textured glossy look on the rubber


since the clear coat has cmoe up and the door jams / engine bay is still stock silver... i'd probably color match it after refixing the rear dmg (looked like it was done properly.. but it's slightly off :\ the gt reflector in the rear (not the pre 95 w/ the licence plate.. it's in teh bumper) it's all cracked etc... probably would look into something for that
