    m running a bp+t on a cable g series. diff keeps breaking

    95egt bp+ big 16G mitsu turbo on 13psi. centerforce clutch, cable g25mr trans, 1/4 mile 13.2@109

i have destroyed 2 diffs in 7 weeks after my stock gears were replaced . has anyone had a problem with after market diff gears shearing off teeth?

i had my stock diff gears replaced when the trans was rebuilt 7 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago they sheared off 2 teeth 180* from each other. trans shop called it abuse so i had to pay $200 (they warrantied the labor but not the parts) and it just snapped again... i drag race my car every week and the stock trans and diff gears lasted 2 years with just a few chips out of the gear faces of one of the spiders. any imput is helpful
i know its a piece of crap... but im still faster...

Some member here are doing the Toyota E153 gearbox conversion instead of spend a lot of money on repairing their busted g series. Here is the link to the thread http://www.wihandyman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45016

At what rpm does your car come on full boost with the 16G & what is the response like?

it doesnt fit in any mazda / ford car. You have to use a big ****ing hammer and beat the **** out of the frame rail or be a civilized person and cut and then box/weld everything shut.

he says hes shearing teeth off the ring gear, an lsd wont stop that.

He's shattering / shearing teeth off the spider gears. Ring gear is fine.

LSD is the way to go.

Did you have the preload set on your gear boxes? Too much play in the diff is bad.

Ive blown up plenty of g series, All diff failures with 200whp/220tq, daily driven hard w/ some track time as well, mfactory lsd goes for about $650, the next weak link will be 3rd gear, which tends to strip teeth.
