    GTX Gas tank picture request

I'm hoping someone has a GTX gas tank removed from their car/parts car and can take a picture of the top of the tank, i am missing the part that goes into the centre of my gas tank and i have no idea what it looks like, or what it does, if it is basically useless then i can just make a block off plate but i want to do my research first lol

Also on a side note, is there any differences in the GTX dashes compared to a base model dash?

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I'd ask Bob Martin on the yahoo forum for the pics, he seems to have at least one spare of everything.

The dash is the same on all 323s. The only difference would be the options fitted: Electric mirror switch, rear wiper switch, A/C switch, etc. Those can be had from a Merc Tracer as well. If you need anything, either ask Bob or myself, and I'll try to find a day to get to the yard and scrounge one up. BFs are getting pretty rare down here, unfortunately.

I had assumed the dashes would be the same with different options of course, the reason why i asked is the guy i got my GTX from says he has an extra dash an if it was GTX specific he would give that to me as well

As for the pics of the gas tank, i will try the yahoo forums and hope for the best, if anyone here has pics though, by all means post them up lol

TERRY... What were u thinking?? dashes are not the same, GTX's all had super special black plastic dashes that seperated them from the dull base model colors. but yes they were all from the same mold

Correct ...the color is a little different than a 323 DX or SE as is between the 323 and the Tracer I had all three side by side wondering the same thing...but they all fit. I put a Tracer interior into a 323 hatch I have here. The dash is a bit cleaner without the switches on the cluster bezel. That is the vent on the tank you are asking about.

HMM, My red SE and my GTX had the same dash, save for the options.

I think you Californians got some options the rest of us in the states didn't get in the standard 323's. For example I've never seen the BF power sunroof panel...

And thanks for the replies on the dash, the guy i got my gtx from got an extra dash with the gtx and if they were gtx specific i was going to see about getting it from him, i may still get it for the hell of it though lol

Correct. But there's an actual BF control unit also that fits in properly without gaps or looking weird.
