    Prop Shaft Carrier Bushings

I'm working on putting together a 90 4wd pro that I bought off of blazin a couple months ago.

I don't have the bushings for the Prop shaft carriers. Does anyone know where you can get new ones, or does anyone have spares they want to measure so I can get some made?

    Thanks!

Also I wired up the car with an EGT engine and fusebox harness, but I can not find the wiring for the two switches on the transmission, are they different between the EGT and the protege?

ok I found my answer about the switches, if I have to I'll splice and add new connectors to what I have.

Still looking for info on the bushings.

As far as I know, I got the last two in stock on the continent a year or so ago, from MMS. I'm sure you could get more, but it would be a long time since they'd have to ship them from overseas. Jim Pierce from JPMotorsports found some slightly-different ones that worked out ok, and mounted them in a car he was working on. Just look for his recce car thread.

Any solutions found for this problem? I am in the same boat. Not sure if I want to go through the effort to join mms development site and find out they don't have em either.

I'll see if I can find the ones from the rallycar... don't recall if we reused em when we swapped in the gt4 propshaft but I kinda doubt it. no idea where they'd be though. Oh boy, look through a buncha boxes o'parts!
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

I'd say look at Jim Pierce's Recce car thread, he used another carrier bearing altogether. The thick washer/spacer things, which are apparently measured shims, might work just as well with regular washers. I think that was basically to fine-tune the balance and pinion angle from the factory, to minimize NVH from the drivetrain.

I had a look at Jims work. Very impressive but definitely more work than I am willing to pursue for the stock setup since I will be going down the GT4 path.

If you found those I would forever be in your debt, lol. Even if you don't feel like parting with them I would love to take some measurements.
