    GI: Tubular LCA's

    I have been talking to Jim Pierce about making Tubular front control arms for our cars and he has been interested in this for awhile as well. We figured we could see who would be interested in a set of these if they were actually produced.

    The design will consist of a rod end in the front mount,a pin in the back to use with your bushing and bracket. It will be built to mx3 size with a plate for a stock balljoint. This allows for you guys to use the rx7 ball joint or the one you currently use depending on the pin size. The swaybar mount will be a tab that a rodend could be attached to with your endlink threaded into it.

    There is not a set price yet, we are aiming for 3-400.

    Yah [prolly. Another thing for me to save pennies for.

          Roll center adjustment please, or at least some correction for a lowered car.

            Most likely a female heim joint, but i'm not designing them so we can wait for Jim to chime in on that part.

            How different are your LCA's? I have never seen a 4wd LCA so i'm not sure. Maybe that is something to bring up separately

            I'm sure this will be accounted for. When he designed the rear cross member he factored that in.

                    hmmm I'd definitely be interested... as long as I can use the BG sway bar rather than MX3... I dont wanna ditch my front susptech add on bar.

                      you will be able to use your stock swaybar, idk hot the susp tech sway bar could be tied in.

                        Its just a longer end link.. so as long as stock could be used, technically the susptech shouldnt be an issue.

                          well the proposed endlink design will be similar to the tab on the mx3 LCA's im sure that tab could be moved for people like you who have the Susp tech sway bar as well

                            Hey guys---thanks Matt for setting up the gauging interest thread. To run the stock swaybar above the arm will require the end link to have a small rod end---I believe the SS Tech bar comes in from the bottom, so something custom would have to be made. The roll center correction would only be achieved by moving the inner pivots or by moving the spindle snout in relation to the balljoint pivot, none of which can be corrected in the arm unfortunately. We're trying to keep this simple/light/strong with some performance enhancements while making it affordable.

                              thanks for helping clarify that jim. i just thought of an idea that could be used for the Susp Tech swaybar. A male rod end bolted to the endlink tab, and then the longer endlink for the ST swaybar could be inserted through that.
