    need some help IDing parts

Okay, chaps. My GTX is coming together and I'm in the homestretch. I need a few sensors and a driveshaft mount. However, I'm not sure what the part descriptions are. Any help with sources for the items will be appreciated, too.

The required sensors are located in three positions:
    a) top of thermostat housing (coolant temperature gauge?)
    b) top of radiator
    c) bottom of radiator

I think there used to be rubber in this mount thingamajig, but suspect that it dry rotted away. I say "I think" becuase it's been too long for me to remember what it looked like before.

So, what's this thing called and where can I source it?

    Thanks!

The last pic is your driveshaft support bearing. Small parts can still be bought at Mazda to rebuild... the main piece however is no longer available.

Why am I not surprised that you made it into this thread with knowledge, Jeff? I appreciate the guidance but need a bit more. From what I see, the "main piece" there is intact. What are the "small parts" that are required? Or, would the stealership parts guy have this information? Is there a heavy duty/race version available through Mazda Motorsports?

They are just rubber donut washers and there will also be some metal shim washers. The sensors can be had at Auto Zone and the like easily.

Sorry, the "main part" is the driveshaft support bearing, these are no longer available as a whole piece. You can still get all the "little parts" to rebuild the joint on the axle and also the bearing that goes in the support and around the axle joint. But if you bend, break or bust that support piece expect to find a used one from another Gtx or you will have driveshaft vibrations.

Right. Okay, and these bits are best sourced at the dealership? Or, is the better deal found at Rock Auto or some spot like that? Is there a Mazda MS version or are the stock bits the only option? Btw, I found the parts "fiche":

People have been buying them from Rock Auto. I can't vouch for the info as I've not had this problem:

Try the dealer...I will bet they were used on another car at some point.

Wow, great lead, Terry. Rock Auto is always such a surprise. It's outstanding that they pay attention to these old cars. Just as Clay guessed, btw, the part is shared on other vehicles. Here's what I found:

I have the same center support bearing problem. My actual bearing is fine, but the rubber grommet around it is dry rotted like no other. I've looked at the rockauto one, but I'm not sure how legit it actually is. Any more help would be appreciated. If anyone has bought the rockauto one, does it fit? Thanks

Well, I can't comment on the Rock Auto part. However, I did attempt to purchase the mounting hardware at the stealership. It's all "NLA" (no longer available). Better news is that Mazda Motorsports does have it. I grabbed the three sensors and all driveshaft mount hardware from them yesterday afternoon. Those guys are real assets to us "classic" car folks!
