Well the MAYBE part is cuz I originally bought this car with all intentions of parting it out down to a bare shell. And that was the intention til I put it on the lift tonight. This is looking like its gonna be the DD.
Anyway, its a 93 GT, 126k miles, needing a handful of odds and ends, but the other handful is a great running BP and a couple goodies that can go to the 91 EGT-T.
Goodies:
Cross Drilled rotors
Solar wing painted red
STUPID CLEAN black piping interior
Smoked tails/corners (like the tails, hate the corners)
Premium Sound
set of 17" wheels (Im gonna sell those on CL)
Additional BP and Trans (both spoken for)
Magnaflow Muffler
To my surprise I saw an undercarriage cleaner than my 91, and the 91 has ZERO rust, but this 93 doesnt even have rust on the gas tank or exhaust heatshields, and barely surface rust on the TTLS.
Exterior is rough, but not too bad over all. Front bumper is broken, headlights are wobbly, LF Fender is smacked up, but other than that, its a pretty straight body.
Interior is clean as well, aside from dirty carpet and red painted dash pieces.. both easy fixes.
The BAD:
While the engine is clean aside from VC gasket leaks, and Tstat housing leaking a bit, it does feel great, except the Injector seals on the head are shot, nasty vac leak and sputtering under load.
The headlight switch is Fubared, only parking lights come on, so I ran direct battery power to them to get it to the shop last night.
Its also on cut springs, WORST ride of my life (drove it back about 40 miles)
So bottom line is::
Fender, Bumper, Struts, Springs, fix leaks, rear trans mount, buff it out, reinstall spoiler, and its a perfect DD. We'll see where it goes.
