so im heading back from a pizza deliverey, waiting at a light, music turned all the way up, bangin my head to the metallica, im oblivious to everything around me. i see a car get next to me in my pereferial vision, but i take no notice. the light goes green and i pull out normally, i hear :CHIIIIIIRRRRRPPP!!: and a scion Xa zips by me (well, kinda). now instinctively i floor it, to his dismay, as im in the 4,000rpm range in first gear 
. within 3 seconds of gunning it, im in front of him ENTIRELY and topped out in 2nd, badda-bing-badda-boom 3rd gear and he is still trying, and i feel badly, since i cant really make out his facial expression from that far back. needless to say i topped it out in 3rd, then went into 4th and let her coast down to the speed limit, and continued like nothing happened. little boy in his shiny new car drives by me slow enough to make eye contact, and to see the pizza bag in the passenger seat, and the uniform.
oh ya, and a bonus story, im in my eclipse (im trying to advertise, so i drive it with for sale written on the back) and i pull up next to, are you ready for this, a (beautiful black) mazdaspeed protege. needless to say the eclipse got the
its slow ass deserved, but i was rooting for the protege too.
