my buddy sent me these pics of his new window tint on his mustang, but he had the tint done pro. how hard is it to do it your self and what brand makes the best tint???......
thanx
I'm with MazdaRacer on this one. Have you ever seen guys with tint that bubble and peel? Chances are they did it themselves. Get a pro to do it, it's not too expensive and come with a warranty.
One other company that makes tint is Sunguard.

ill take your words on it......ever herd of limo tint???? any good?
limo tint is not a brand name. the term refers to the percentage of the tint - 5%. it is illegal in many states to tint your front windows with 5% tint (5% meaning that only 5% of the light passes through).
Looks alright. I'm not sure if it's gonna last for a long time, there is no info on the manufacturer. I'd look for something made by Lumar or 3M. Also, it is 20% tint. How dark do you want your windows to be?
I have no idea what the legal limit in WA is. Here in Cali. we can tint out rear windows as much as we want, but almost no tint for the front windows.... It's good to check the law first. Call the local DMV, they ought to know.
I am going for 15% all around (which is illegal for the front windows).
i'm too lazy to find it, but search my previous posts for my thread about window tinting.. this should help you out. the bottom line, despite how careful i've always been, the job has been sub par (bubbles were actually the least of my problems). my problems involved getting the edges cut right to actually adhere to the glass and look alright.. get a pro
WA state law says 32% (meduim) all all windows (does not specify windshield tho) 6" max on the sun visor strip and they reserve the right to ticket your ass even if your NOT a WA state resident or even if the car is out of state, they can still ticket you.
I can get you Llumar film for around $55-85 for all the windows. I used to own a tint/alarm shop and i still have plenty of contacts.
