    Warbird's Worklog

Ok so since I'm not planning on boosting my car anytime soon I'm modeling my build after the non-turbo Mazda MP3. I lucked out with a buddy of mine parting out a blown vehicle he came by, I managed to get some parts at an amazing deal.

    Here's a list of what I've done:

    Suspension
    Tokico Blue struts
Tein S-Tech progressive rate lowering springs
    Mazdaspeed Protege strut tower brace

    Engine/Drivetrain
2.5" Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust with Mazdaspeed Protege oval tip
Injen hybrid CAI with K&N Filter
MP3 Valve Cover with Engine Cover
    MP3 Tuned ECU
Mazdaspeed short shifter with 03.5 knob

    Exterior/Appearance
    MP3 Ground Effects Accents
    MP3/P5 Front Bumper
    Blacked out altezza-type taillights

    Interior/Electronics
    Pioneer stereo headunit w/**** integration
    Kenwood 6x9 3-way - rear deck
    Kenwood 6x8 2-way - Front doors
    Kenwood 600w 12" subwoofer
    Mazda P5 front sail tweeters
    Custom painted trim pieces

Interestingly enough I joined up back in 2007 when I had my old Prot, just never posted lol. Finally checked out Sleezer's link on his thread on 24/7 and rediscovered the site

        Planned Mods:

*Paint wheels with Mazda Metallic Black Mica (Unless some amazing wheel deals pop up)
*Rework interior pieces for two-tone black look
        *Tint windows
*Cut and mold custom splash guard and fender well fillers
*Cut and mold rear air diffuser
        *New swaybar endlinks F/R (Adjustable)

Partial list so far. I always think of something to do to her

Likewise. I think the back end looks unfinished without a spoiler of some sort

I think its easy to pull off with the right stance setup ... but stock-ish it does look out of place without the factory spoiler.

regardin the road trip, we should mod our pro's to do this:

hmmm yeah looks like a giant brick just passed you without any hot looks without the spoiler, hadnt thougt bout it that way lol.
